BG Racing – Update 08-11-22
Plenty of racing for me this week as I am off to Bangor on Wednesday where La Cavsa Nostra runs for the Neil Mulholland Racing Club and then I will be at Cheltenham this weekend for all three days. If any of you are there, please come and say hello.
Next week could be similarly busy with a possible run for Far Too Beautiful and then two days at Ascot for their shared ownership showcase.
Below I have covered:
1 – Dynamic Kate
2 – Far Too Beautiful
3 – Ascot Syndicate Showcase
4 – Inside The Rails
5 – Runners From Our Stables
If this update gets you interested in ownership, then I would love to hear from you. Click here for details of shareholder benefits and information on how to get involved.
I was down at Neil Mulholland’s at the weekend and went to see Katie in her box. She is fine and seemed in good spirits. She definitely enjoyed the carrots that I took her!
I have issued a year-end financial statement and renewal update to shareholders. This will be her last year before she heads off to the breeding sheds, but I think she still has more to offer when she gets back racing in the Spring.
Shareholding renews from 1st November at a cost of £351 for a 1% share. This is a good opportunity to get into ownership with a horse that is in great form right now. Please get in touch if you are interested to find out more!
Far Too Beautiful is doing well. Michael Attwater is very happy with her. She will be entered on Wednesday for a two-mile novice hurdle at Lingfield Park next Tuesday. She may need a handicap mark before she gets competitive, but we know she likes the track and hopefully, she will show some improvement from her debut run at Chepstow.
I will be at Ascot next Friday and Saturday (18th and 19th November) for their Syndicate Showcase meeting. I will have a BG Racing trade stand in the main concourse of the grandstand. Please come and say hello if you are Ascot either day.
We released the latest Inside The Rails podcast last week and on it we chatted with two-time champion jockey, Paul Hanagan. Paul joined us from Bahrain where he is riding this winter. I have listened to it and I am pleased with it, so I think you will enjoy it if you give us a try. The podcast can be found on all podcast platforms so please give us a listen and tell your friends!
Back on the 27th of October, there was a winner for Neil when Miss Jeanne Moon came home in front. Great Ocean just missed the places finishing 4th with Winged Isle pulled up in the same race. Neil’s other runners, Barnards Green and Crossing The Bar were both unplaced, Ajrad was 3rd for Michael that day as was Street Parade, but Breguet Boy was unplaced.
On the 28th, Brief Times finished 2nd for Neil whilst Horizon Dor, Agent Saonois and Glenview Beauty all failed to make the frame. For Michael, Amerighi was 4th and Emulation was unplaced. There was another winner for Neil the next day though when Tango Boy stayed on to lead close home. His other three runners did not fare as well with Mongol Emperor and Cousu Main unplaced and Indian Brave a faller when looking beaten. For Michael, Maahi Ve was unplaced at Wolverhampton.
After no runners on the 30th, the month ended with a third winner in a week for Neil at Hereford with Princess T winning her 2nd race in her last three starts. The other four of Neil’s runners did not fare so well. No Fixed Charges, Celtic Fortune, Frau Georgia and Translink were all unplaced.
November started with Great Snow finishing unplaced for Neil and on the 2nd, neither of Neil’s Chepstow runners made the frame with Balinesker Beach and Milanese Rose both beaten. Michael’s runner, Dees Dream ran well to be 2nd at Kempton. The next day, Real Estate ran a decent race and finished 4th. Rhubarb Bikini was unplaced but Michael had a big-priced winner when Cabeza De Llave swept down the outside to come over the top of the others in the final strides. He won at 50-1 which was an amazing price!
On the 4th, Sainte Doctor was pulled up at Fontwell for Neil and Man Of The Sea was unplaced at Exeter and on the 5th, Peltwell was 4th for Neil at Wincanton. Lord Accord ran a cracker as well, only beaten by Frodon and it was another frustrating 2nd in the next as well for Neil as this time Trolley Boy found one too good. In the same race, Inspector Lynley was well-beaten and in the competitive grade 2 hurdle, Milkwood was unfortunately only 4th of the four very decent runners. Carolines Charm and Mister Sweets were both unplaced later on the card and Neil’s last runner, Hobbs Joy ran well to finish just outside the places.
There were no runners from our stables on the 6th.
If you are interested in finding out more about racehorse ownership, then please do get in touch as I would be delighted to discuss things with you.
