BG Racing – Update 11-10-25

Introduction

It looks like we are getting closer to Don’t Call Me Sue making her racecourse debut, and here’s hoping we have a fun few months ahead with her.

I went to the stables this week and was able to share photos and video with her shareholders, along with details of a stable visit next weekend.

Don’t Call Me Sue

I saw Don’t Call Me Sue at Neil Mulholland’s stable earlier this week.

Conor O’Farrell was at the stables, riding work and schooling some of the horses over hurdles and fences.  He was riding Don’t Call Me Sue, who did three canters up the hill gallop.  It was the first time that Conor had ridden her, and he was very positive about her.

He felt that she was a very willing partner and went really well on the gallops.

I discussed racing plans with Neil, and he indicated that he would like to start her off in a bumper.  Before that Neil thinks that she would benefit from an “away day” out of the yard.  He indicated that he would like to give her a racecourse gallop in a couple of weeks before entering her to race a couple of weeks after that.

I have arranged a shareholder stable visit with Neil for next Saturday, so several of her owners can see her in the stables and on the gallops.

All is very positive so far, let’s hope that continues to be the case!

I do have limited shareholding available with 2% costing £780 and covering all costs to the end of April 2026.

News From Neil’s Stables

I was delighted to learn that Neil has hired Tony Charlton as his assistant trainer.  Tony is very experienced, but seems happy to do what is needed.

It will be great for Neil to have another set of eyes and ears around the yard, as he cannot be everywhere, and I am sure that Tony’s feedback will be valuable.  I think that he will be a big help to Neil this season.

Inside The Rails

We chatted with ITV Racing’s Jason Weaver for the October episode of Inside The Rails.  Jason was a great guest. Why not give it a listen?

Winners From Our Stables

We had two winners back on the 22nd of September when Nordic Glory got an overdue win at Wolverhampton for Michael Attwater, and Neil had a win from Masterdream.

It was the 1st of October before we had another winner though.  Smasher ran well for Michael to win his race then.

Neil was back winning on the 3rd, when Of Corse I Can won at Fontwell and in a strange coincidence, the next winner was on the 8th when the very similarly named, Of Course You Can, won at Ludlow!

We nearly had one more winner on the 9th when Michael’s Cabeza De Llave was only beaten by a nose, but that was it for the period.

Get Involved

If you are interested in finding out more about racehorse ownership, then please get in touch, as I would be delighted to discuss things with you.

Standing order payments can be made to spread the cost of share purchases, and shareholders get regular email updates along with the chance to come to the stables with me as well as to the races. There are also shareholder social events during the year.
