BG Racing – Update 14-03-22

I am down in Cheltenham ahead of the week at the festival and I am really looking forward to a good week.

I created a Cheltenham preview if you are interested and you can open it here: https://bgracingsyndicates.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/BG-Racing-Cheltenham-Preview-2022.pdf

Our stables are still in good form, especially Michael Attwater who seems to have the horses in great order at the moment.

Below I will cover:
1 – Dynamic Kate
2 – Far Too Beautiful
3 – Inside The Rails
4 – Runners From Our Stables
5 – Email Activity

If this update gets you interested in ownership, then I would love to hear from you.  Click here for details of shareholder benefits and information on how to get involved.

Dynamic Kate

Kate is doing fine and continuing to build up her work.  I will try to get down to see her again later in the month.

I do have shares of Kate available to purchase and these run for the period to 31st October 2022.  They are priced at £310 for a 1% share with discounted rates for 5% and 10% purchases.

She has been in the first four in all four of her recent races and she will hopefully pick up where she left off when she gets back on the racecourse in the Spring.

Far Too Beautiful

I spoke to Michael yesterday and we have agreed that we are definitely targeting a prep run at Kempton on 30th March.  She is fit and well at home and Michael thinks that it would be a shame not to run her until the 2nd half of April when there is a first suitable race on the turf.

If she was to run well at Kempton then it would open up the all-weather to us again in the future and the track is riding pretty slow at Kempton at the moment.  If she does not run well again, but then runs better on the turf, we will know to leave the all-weather alone.

I have shares available at a cost of £273 per 1% share covering the period to 31st December 2022.  Please contact me via the contact page if you would like more information.

Inside The Rails

There is still time to listen to our preview of Cheltenham on Inside The Rails before the action starts.  All episodes can be downloaded at https://podfollow.com/inside-the-rails

Runners From Our Stables

There was another winner for Neil on Thursday 3rd March when Molly Carew won at Taunton.  She looked like she would be beaten but she battled all the way and managed to run down the leader in the last couple of strides.

Neil’s Icone Daubrelle took a heavy fall at Newbury the following day and Cappananty Con never got involved for Michael at Lingfield.  Rules of Order justified Michael’s opinion that he would be much better over 6f by only just failing to get up for the win at an SP of 50-1 though!

On Saturday 5th, Neil came as close as you can to having a winner without doing so.  At Doncaster, Mongol Emperor led, rallied when headed on the ruin and in and just failed to win, finishing 2nd.  At Lingfield, his other runner, Vocal Ring was unable to land a blow.  With a few photos going against our trainers in recent days, one went in our favour at Lingfield.  Savoy Brown led in the straight and he managed to hang on repelling two fast finishers for another winner for Michael who is really on a roll at the moment.  Big Time Maybe was unable to make it a double though as he was forced to challenge wide off the bend and was only able to reach 4th.

After no runners on Sunday 6th, there was a cracking run from Neil’s Indian Brave on Monday to finish 2nd after a long absence from the racecourse.

There was no winner for Neil at Newcastle on Tuesday as Heavey, Planned Paradise and Full of Surprises all failed to make the paying places positions.  For Michael, it was another good run from Maahi Ve at Wolverhampton, but she was 2nd for the third time in a row, again beaten only a head!  She needs a change of luck.

On Wednesday, Miss Jeanne Moon just failed at Fontwell for Neil, not quite getting by the leader on the run-in to finish 2nd beaten only a narrow margin, whilst for Michael, Rhubarb Bikini led but was overtaken in the home straight to finish unplaced.

Neil had two runners at Wincanton on Thursday.  Glenview Beauty was unplaced, but Maliboo had a good go at landing a hat-trick of wins.  She fell just short, finishing 2nd.

There were no runners on Friday and Neil had no success on Saturday as Runasimi River was well-beaten and then Vocal Ring refused to race.  Michael had a much better Saturday though.  At Lingfield, Breguet Boy was midfield and then Street Parade was a bit disappointing, but Tadreeb charged down the home straight from an unpromising position to win well and he is certainly running really well at the moment having won two class 2 races in his last two starts.  Cappananty Con bounced right back to form and looked a possible winner before being overtaken in the final furlong to finish 2nd, but that is a big step up on his recent runs.  Delagate The Lady was under pressure leaving the back straight though and disappointed again.  Miss Shirley looked like she would win at Wolverhampton with a furlong to run but she also lost the lead late to finish placed giving Michael a winner and two seconds on the day.
