BG Racing – Update 15-04-24

Introduction

I have been to the stables to see Stryder twice in the last ten days and he is coming along well.  We have also had Aintree which was a good spectacle and the Grand National yesterday was a great race.  A couple of unseated riders and a few pulled up but no fallers which was great to see and with three Gold Cup placed horses in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, it was a high-quality race.

I am off to Cheltenham this week for Wednesday and Thursday racing.  If anyone would like to come and say hello – just let me know!

Bella Cavalla

Bella Cavalla is doing well at home and is still on target to make her handicap debut at Ludlow on April 24th.

The ground seems to finally be starting to get better and hopefully this race will see Bella Cavalla get much more competitive (hopefully finish in the first five or six and much closer).

More information when the entry is made later this week.

Shares are £260 for 2% including all costs to the 30th June.  There are discounts for 5% and 10% purchases and a 1% shareholding price is available on request.  Flexible payment terms can be arranged to suit.  At 30th June, there will be the option to renew for another full year.

Stryder

I sent around photos and a video of Stryder to his shareholders last week and I was up at the stables yesterday morning to watch him do another piece of faster work.

He galloped well and so far, so good in terms of his previous niggles as he seems sound and happy.  He will still need a couple more pieces of faster work before we can get him back racing though, so it looks like we will be at the end of April or the start of May for a return to racing.

Shares are £550 for 2% including all costs to the 31st August.  There are discounts for 5% and 10% shareholders.  A 1% shareholding cost is available on request and flexible payment terms can be arranged to suit.  This short term ownership will have a renewal option in September and the price includes the purchase of the shareholding.

Syndicate Race Day

There is another syndicate showcase event at Huntingdon on 25th April and I will be exhibiting there.  If you are at the races, please come and say hello.

Inside The Rails

The latest episode of Inside The Rails launched on 1st April and we chatted with Sophie Buckley from Culworth Grounds stud about the operation of a stud farm.  If you have not listened yet, please give it a try.

You can listen by searching for Inside The Rails on any podcast app or by clicking the link below and if you know anyone who might like the podcast, please also tell them about it!

Winners From Our Stables

Neil Mulholland had a winner on Thursday 4th April when Blu Las put up a decent performance in the bumper at Southwell to record her first victory.  Hopefully, this will be the first of many for her.

After that though we had a run of 2nds with Neil having three and Michael Attwater two, so hopefully another winner is just around the corner.
