BG Racing – Update 21-02-22

Another week closer to the Cheltenham Festival and to getting our two BG Racing fillies back on the racecourse.  I had a morning at each of the stables last week and issued updates to our shareholders afterwards.

Below I will cover:
1 – Stable Visits and Social Events
2 – Dynamic Kate
3 – Far Too Beautiful
4 – Inside The Rails
5 – Runners From Our Stables

If this update gets you interested in ownership, then I would love to hear from you.  Click here for details of shareholder benefits and information on how to get involved.

Stable Visits and Social Events

We are off to Neil Mulholland’s yard tomorrow to see Dynamic Kate, watch some horses on the gallops and grab an early lunch afterwards.

On Friday, I am taking several shareholders to Warwick Races, where I will have a gazebo set up to advertise BG Racing to racegoers and on the evening of Thursday 10th March 2022, I am holding a Cheltenham Festival preview Zoom for shareholders where I will run through the big races on each day of the festival and run a tipping competition.

All of these events are free for BG Racing shareholders and are part of the experience of being a BG Racing shareholder.  If they sound fun, then please consider purchasing a share of one of the horses and get involved!

Dynamic Kate

Dynamic Kate was back exercising when I was down at the yard last week and she looks a bit stronger than last year.  She seems well and Neil is hoping that she will be cleared to start getting out of the yard in the next couple of weeks.  She is still on track to race again in the Spring, so all the news is positive.

I took some photos when I was down at the yard, which were sent out to her shareholders so they can see her progress.

I do have shares of Kate available to purchase and these run for the period to 31st October 2022.  They are priced at £310 for a 1% share with discounted rates for 5% and 10% purchases.

She has been in the first four in all four of her recent races and she will hopefully pick up where she left off when she gets back on the racecourse in the Spring.

Far Too Beautiful

Far Too Beautiful is progressing faster than expected and she seems in very good form.  When I went up to the yard last week, it was breezy and cold, but lovely and sunny and I was able to get some nice pictures which were sent to her shareholders.  Far Too Beautiful is looking great and all is progressing well.  Getting her ready to run for the start of the flat season is all going to plan!

I have shares available at a cost of £273 per 1% share covering the period to 31st December 2022.  Please contact me via the contact page if you would like more information.

Inside The Rails

I have been preparing for the recording of Inside The Rails later this week (launch at the start of March).  David Armstrong from the Racecourse Association is joining us for this one.  If you have not yet caught the last episode with Lee Mottershead from the Racing Post then it is worth downloading.  All episodes can be downloaded at https://podfollow.com/inside-the-rails and if you can recommend the podcast to friends that may be interested, that would be really appreciated!

Runners From Our Stables

Last Monday and after a few 2nd placed finishes, Neil Mulholland had a runner back in the winners’ circle when Chinwag won at Plumpton.  Stalking the leaders throughout he was always travelling really well and jumped ahead in the home straight to win nicely.  Kahina Rules was unplaced later on the card, so there was no double, but that did not diminish what was a good day.

After no Tuesday or Wednesday runners, Michael Attwater was in action on Thursday, but whilst neither Big Time Maybe nor Street Parade were beaten by far, they were not in the mix to be placed either, with neither getting the smoothest passage.

The storm meant no racing on Friday, so the next runners were on Saturday when Heavey finished just outside the places for Neil.  Despite switching back to hurdles to try to boost his confidence, unfortunately, Neil’s other runner, Solwara One, unseated rider.

Saturday was a cracking day for Michael though!  Tadreeb raced in class 2 for the first time in his career but you would not have known that as he charged down the outside to get to the front close to the line and win well.  It looked like a massive priced double was likely with half a furlong to go in Maahi Ve’s race as she looked like repeating the run down the outside to win.  Unfortunately, she did not quite get there finishing a head second, but it was still a great run.

We finished the week with no runners on Sunday, so one winner for each of our trainers this week.
