Unfortunately, Silver Imperial refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn from her proposed debut race behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

She travelled to the course well and was fine in the stables and during saddling.

When our jockey, Robert Havlin got into the saddle she had a kick and buck, but she calmed immediately and was fine going out onto the track and down to the start.  Robert reported there was a very long wait at the start and several of the other runners were showing signs of unrest and it was all getting very noisy.  When she was first led forward to the stalls she spooked and Robert said he pretty much knew then that she had made up her mind that she would not go in.  They tried her a couple of times more including inexplicably running her at the stalls with no jockey, but she was having none of it and the starter called for then to go off without her.

Silver Imperial had done loads of stalls tests including a barrier trial and after a couple of issues the first couple of times she had not had any problems.  Part of the problem may have been the situation, several horses did not load in the early meetings post restart as the reduced numbers of stalls handlers meant that it was taking longer to load the horses, causing some to get worked up.

As a result of not loading however she was required to do a stalls test before running again, so we prepared ourselves for a couple of weeks delay before she could make her debut proper!
