Dynamic Kate finished 12th at Plumpton, the last run she needed to get her handicap mark.

She jumped off midfield and she was OK at the first two flights.  She hurdled OK at the third and she was low at the 4th but clean and she was OK again at the 5th, but coming out of the back straight, Harry was already starting to urge her along.  She jumped the last two in the home straight OK, but was well out of contention by this point and she was 44 lengths off the winner in 12th of the 14 runners at the line.

Harry Reed reported that she had jumped well but that he thought she would jump better when there was a bit more spring in the ground and he thought she would be competitive in handicap company.  He said that the ground had ridden as very heavy ground and they were kicking up loads of mud, but thankfully it was quite splashy and not too sticky and holding meaning that Kate was not exhausted at the finish.

Neil Mulholland said that he was not surprised by the result and not disheartened by it either.  He felt that in line with her breeding we should look to step her up in trip when she gets some better ground as he felt that she had stayed well in all three of her hurdles.

She was subsequently allocated a mark of 81 and will run in handicap company next time.
